Information stored on your device
The app stores food names, quantities, units, locations, categories, dates and notes; shopping entries; activity records; onboarding state and preferences in its private Android storage. The app has no account or sign-in.
Collection and transmission
This version has no advertising, analytics, attribution, remote crash reporting or network SDK. It does not request internet permission or send pantry information to developer-operated servers. Data processed only on your device is not collected by the publisher.
Optional reminders
When you switch on daily date checks, the app requests Android notification permission. Local, inexact alarms check the dates you entered. Notifications show an item count, not food names. Android battery behavior may delay delivery. Force-stopping the app pauses reminders until you open it again. You can disable reminders in the app or Android settings.
Backups, exports and restores
A JSON backup includes inventory, shopping entries, activity and preferences; CSV includes inventory and notes. Files are created only when you choose an export and select a destination through Android’s document picker. If you choose a cloud provider or share an exported file, that provider or recipient handles it under its own terms. The app does not encrypt exported files. Import reads the selected Pantry Planner backup; restoring replaces current local data and turns reminders off. No broad storage access is requested.
Retention, deletion and security
Records remain locally until you edit or delete them, use Clear all local data, clear storage in Android, or uninstall. Automatic Android cloud and device-transfer backups are disabled. Keep a manual backup before uninstalling or changing devices. Exported copies remain where you saved them and must be deleted separately. Android app-private storage protects local records subject to your device security.
Website and support
The app opens this website in your browser only when you choose its privacy or support link. Cloudflare hosts these pages and may process request information such as IP address, request time, browser information and security logs to deliver and protect the website, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. These pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising, contact database or tracking cookies set by us.
If you choose to email support, we receive your address and the message and attachments you decide to send. They are used to address the request, retained only as needed for support or applicable obligations, and can be the subject of a deletion request to the same contact. Avoid sending passwords, sensitive food or health details, or a full pantry backup unless needed for a specific issue.
Audience and food dates
Pantry Planner is a general household organizer intended for ages 13 and older, not a service directed to children under 13. It does not offer medical, nutrition or food-safety assessments. Dates and quantities are supplied by you.
